Boy airlifted from North Yorkshire with serious head injuries


A 10-year-old from North Yorkshire was airlifted to hospital today after suffering serious head injuries in an incident in a playground.


The boy was flown from Brompton-on-Swale in Richmondshire to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called at 11am.

The team joined Yorkshire Ambulance Service medics at the scene.

After treating the patient on site, they flew him to hospital.

The flight took ten minutes and the boy arrived in Middlesbrough in a stable condition.
