Building society customers in a North Yorkshire community have voted for the Great North Air Ambulance to receive a £100 donation.
Yorkshire Building Society on Stokesley High Street asked for customers and members of the public visiting the bank to vote for their favourite charity. The winner of the vote would receive a cash donation of £100.
GNAAS won with an overwhelming majority and were invited along to collect the cheque. Rob from the organisation went to meet members of staff from Yorkshire building society and collect a cheque on behalf of GNAAS.
He said: “The Great North Air Ambulance would like to thank everyone who voted for us to win this donation. This is the second year we have won a donation from the Yorkshire Building Society, it really shows that the community of Stokesley want to help in any way possible to keep our helicopters flying.
“We would also like to thank their staff for all their efforts in organising the voting. The charity needs to raise four million pounds per year and relies solely on a very supportive public throughout the region.”
