A cheque for £20,000 has been presented following the latest successful CornShed festival.
The generous donation takes the total raised for GNAAS at the annual event to more than £150,000.
Since first taking place in 1986, the CornShed Festival has grown into a two day event featuring music and comedy, hosted in buildings at Sexhow Park Farm, Hutton Rudby.
This year’s performers included The Beer Pigs, Last Anthem and Soul Street, with Patrick Monahan topping the bill on the comedy stage.
Judy Kitching, who organises the events with her family, handed over the money and thanked all those for making the 2012 festival a success.
Speaking to the Evening Gazette, she said: “I would like to thank everyone who helped in any way to make the CornShed happen and raise such a lot of money for the GNAAS.”
Mandy Drake, of GNAAS, said: “Thanks to everyone for supporting the event, but especially to Judy and her family for their tireless work in making the 2012 CornShed yet another phenomenal success.”
Next year’s festival will take place on June 28 and 29.
