Organised by former patient Jack Talbot, cyclists race to the top of Ambleside’s infamous 2.7 miles hill. With an average 8.2% climb and a maximum reported gradient of 24%, The Struggle certainly lives up to its name.
This epic beast promises to test your fitness, bravery, and determination, as riders’ reach speeds of up to 80mph on their descent back to the starting line.
You can bring your friends and family along to this iconic climb in support of the Great North Air Ambulance Service life-saving mission.
Please note participants need to be a member of a cycling time trial (CTT) affiliated club.
The Struggle is organised in full support of the Great North Air Ambulance Service which flew to Jack’s aid when a ‘hit and run’ left him with life-threatening injuries.
