Thanks to your continued support, we were able to attend the following incidents on Saturday:
At 10.45am we flew to Backworth, North Tyneside after reports that two vehicles had collided. After arriving on scene and treating a patient, it was deemed not to be as serious as first feared and we made ourselves available if needed elsewhere in the region.
At 11.54am were activated by North East Ambulance Service after a man was reported to be suffering from a potentially serious medical condition near Haggerston, Northumberland. Following treatment on scene, the man was flown to the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle for emergency care. The flight took 14 minutes.
The team was in action again at 3.51pm when we were called to Hartlepool where a man had fallen. We worked alongside NEAS in treating the patient before he was flown on for emergency treatment at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
