What would YOU spend £10,000 on? Here’s how our critical care team would spend their winnings…
Last week, we invited you to support our charity by playing our £10,000 top-prize raffle!
Raffle tickets cost only £1 each for the chance to win £10,000, a break in the Lake District worth more than £1,000, or £500 in cash.
Our annual raffle raises crucial funds to ensure GNAAS can be ready for anything, and thanks to our supporters, our raffle last year raised over £114,000, funding 25 call-outs and potentially saving 25 lives.
We chatted with some of our critical care team who attended those 25 call-outs last year.
Call-outs that were only possible because of the generosity of the public.
We asked the team what THEY would spend that £10k prize money on if they won – here’s what they said…
Paramedic, Jamie Walsh: “I would 100% spend the prize money on skydiving in Nepal.”
Director of operations and paramedic, Andy Mawson: “Definitely a long-haul family holiday. A safari, perhaps!”
Paramedic, Jake Gunn: “I would have to say classic car parts.”
Pilot, JJ smith: “It would go towards my retirement plan. It happens when you get older; your priorities change.”
Paramedic Andy Dalton: “It would go towards buying a motor home.”
Paramedic Hollie Smith: “I am getting married next year, so it would be towards my wedding fund.”
Paramedic, Terry Sharpe, said: “Family holiday with loads of diving, surfing and sailing.”
Paramedic, Ian Grey, said: “My children are in Rhodes currently awaiting a flight back due to the wildfires.
They arrived late Saturday night and have spent Sunday and today in a basketball arena. They are hoping to fly back tonight. I would spend the whole 10k on taking them somewhere extra special to make up for the disappointment.”
Paramedic Jemma Kirby: “I’d have to say a luxury holiday!”
