Our ambassadors proudly support our cause and share our passion.
Our charity ambassadors play a vital role in the success of our fundraising efforts, proudly representing us and doing all they can to help us raise the funds we need to keep saving lives.
Pam Royle
Pam Royle is a Television Journalist and Presenter, best known for her time as a presenter for ITV News in the Tyne, Tees and Borders areas. She has been an ambassador for GNAAS for over 10 years, hosting our Annual Ball event on multiple occasions and helping us to raise over £100,000 in the process.
Pam continues to support GNAAS and is a proud advocate for the life-saving work that we carry out across the over 8,000 miles of land that we serve.
Kerry Irving
Kerry and his English springer spaniels Max, Paddy and Harry gained a huge international following after broadcasting their daily walks live via their Facebook page Max Out in the Lake District. Over the past two years they’ve raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for GNAAS, by hosting several community events and dog walks. In recognition of their support, Kerry was presented with a certificate of appreciation in April 2022, naming the dogs as honorary crew members – Dogtor Max, Puppermedic Paddy and Pawlot Harry.
Sadly, Max passed away shortly afterwards, and now Kerry and his dogs Paddy and Harry are continuing Max’s legacy by raising further funds for numerous charities. This culminated in Kerry funding a brand-new Volvo XC90 to be used by GNAAS’ critical care team in Cumbria, which proudly displays Max’s pawprint.
Kerry officially became an ambassador for GNAAS in June of 2023, and we are extremely proud to have him onboard alongside his furry companions!
Emma Smith-Chaston
British Jockey Emma Smith-Chaston, originally from Lancashire, now based at Middleham, North Yorkshire, is a proud ambassador of GNAAS. With the charity being so close to her heart, she is a passionate advocate for the life-saving work we carry out on a daily basis. Boasting an incredible 44 wins throughout her career, Emma currently trains under Micky Hammond.
With her home being far away from the nearest trauma hospital and the dangerous nature of her job, Emma understands just how crucial GNAAS is to the North East, Cumbria and the Isle of Man. With our logo proudly emblazoned on her jockey silks, Emma helps us to raise funds that are vital in helping us stay in the sky.
Emma has taken part in multiple fundraising missions for GNAAS, and is determined to raise as many funds as possible for us in the future. We are extremely proud to have Emma as an ambassador of the work that we do in the regions we serve.
