Incident round-up: September 9

Here are some of the incidents we attended this weekend:

On Saturday at 12.15pm we were called to assist the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) in Brough, Cumbria, after a male, believed to be in his 20s, had fallen off his motorcycle. The patient sustained an arm injury and was treated on scene by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic team and NWAS paramedics before being transported to Royal Lancaster Infirmary by the NWAS road crew.

At 7.20pm on Saturday we were called to assist the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) after a two vehicle road traffic collision in Alnwick. Four patients sustained non life-threatening injuries. The GNAAS paramedic and doctor team assessed and treated a female, believed to be in her 20s, who had sustained head and pelvis injuries before airlifting her to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington. The flight took 13 minutes and she arrived in a stable condition.
