Here are some of the incidents attended by the Great North Air Ambulance this weekend:
On Saturday at 11.40am we were called to Hawes, where a male motorcyclist, believed to be in his 30s, had sustained head injuries, as well as serious chest and abdominal injuries. After administering advanced care on scene, he was flown to Royal Preston Hospital. The flight took 16 minutes and he arrived in a critical condition.
At 1.07pm on Saturday we were called to Kirklinton, where a female motorcyclist, believed to be in her 60s, crashed into a stationary bike. She sustained a minor arm injury and was treated on scene.
Later on Saturday at 6.10pm, we were called to Ullswater, where a male motorcyclist, believed to be in his 50s, was injured in a collision with a car. He sustained multiple injuries and was flown to Royal Preston Hospital. The flight took 20 minutes and he arrived in a critical condition.
