The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist the North East Ambulance Service at 4.35pm yesterday, after a man sustained a leg injury while walking in a wooded area at Willington, County Durham. The man, in his 20s, was examined at the scene by the paramedic and doctor team before being flown to North Tees Hospital for ongoing treatment. .
