The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Tweedmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed, just after 11am this morning to the aid of a man who was seriously ill. The man, in his 30s, was suffering from a medical condition and the GNAAS crew administered blood at the scene before he was flown to Borders General Hospital.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Tweedmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed, just after 11am this morning to the aid of a man who was seriously ill.
The man, in his 30s, was suffering from a medical condition and the GNAAS crew administered blood at the scene before he was flown to Borders General Hospital. The flight took 20 minutes and he arrived in a critical condition.
GNAAS worked alongside North East Ambulance Service.
