In 2022, the Great North Air Ambulance’s (GNAAS) biggest single source of income was all thanks to supporters leaving our charity a gift in their Will, a whopping £4.9 million to be precise.
Without those invaluable donations, we wouldn’t have been able to attend the 1,732 callouts we were tasked with last year, it’s that simple.
And while writing your Will can be a sensitive, and at times uncomfortable process, we want you to know that if you choose to leave us a donation, no matter how big or small, we’ll support you every step of the way.
So, if you’re thinking about giving the gift of life in your passing, here’s what you can expect from the GNAAS team…
Making the right decision
As a charity, we understand that organising your Will isn’t a simple or easy process – that’s why if you are interested in leaving a donation, we want to make sure your decision is well-informed.
Upon enquiry, you’ll be given a point of contact at GNAAS. This way, both you, and your family will be able to ask as many questions as you’d like before committing.
Say hello to our team
You’ll be introduced to a helpful member of our team, who’ll help you through the process.
We have a dedicated team within our organisation who look after major gifts and legacies; they’ll provide you with the support and guidance you might need during the Will-writing process.
Get involved
We’d love for you to get involved with our charity activity, but of course, that’s entirely up to you.
If you’d like the latest news, to come along to events or perhaps even want to meet our fantastic team of doctors, pilots and paramedics – Laura can make it happen for you.
This is an excellent way for you, and your loved ones to witness how your money can make a difference to the future of critically ill patients across the region.
And remember…
- Your loved ones always come first, and we respect that
- We recognise your right to privacy and handle each enquiry with sensitivity and care
- We value each gift and donation, no matter how large or small
- You can always change your mind, we respect that it is a big decision to make and urge you to take your time
