A YOUNG cyclist was placed into an induced coma by Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) medics after a collision with a car on a busy Darlington road last night. GNAAS was called to Yarm Road at around 6:45pm and landed in nearby Eastbourne Park. The 13-year-old had girl sustained serious head injuries and the doctor-led trauma team anaesthetised the patient before flying her to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough within seven minutes where she arrived in a critical condition..
