A BIKER was airlifted to hospital after a collision with a car on July 6. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Barrow-in-Furness at 6.30pm, where a 36-year-old male motorcyclist, from Barrow, had been thrown around 25ft away from his bike and suffered serious lower leg injuries. The GNAAS doctor and paramedic team stabilised the patient at the scene before he was flown to Royal Preston Hospital in a stable condition within 15 minutes..
