A FARMER was airlifted to hospital after being dragged into farm machinery at Longtown, Cumbria. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident at 11:14am on Sunday (March 20). The man, in his late forties, suffered shoulder and chest injuries and was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led team before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle within 18 minutes.

The man, in his late forties, suffered shoulder and chest injuries and was treated by the GNAAS doctor-led team before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle within 18 minutes. He arrived in a stable condition.
GNAAS is a charity and needs to raise £4.5m every year to continue to operate.
