We’re looking for a highly-skilled HEMS Critical Care Paramedic to join our team!

Location
Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees and Langwathby, Penrith.





Salary
£55,177 rising to £60,480 on completion of probation period.





Hours
40 hours per week on average.

The role
We are seeking experienced Paramedics to join our Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) that covers the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man. Candidates will provide high-quality clinical care in pre-hospital environments, operating at a Critical Care Paramedic level.
You’ll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including doctors, pilots and dispatchers to provide essential care to critically ill or injured patients. You will also support the wider charity team in helping their efforts to raise the £9.3 million needed to keep the service operational, including various promotional activities.
This is a unique opportunity to enhance your clinical skills, engage in complex case management, support ongoing education of your colleagues, and contribute to the future success of the region’s air ambulance
About you
We’re looking for a true team player — someone who can confidently lead when needed, but also knows when to follow in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. As a key representative of the charity, you’ll consistently act as a positive and proactive ambassador.
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, including unsocial hours. Flexibility is essential, as you’ll be required to work across multiple sites and be available for night duties or additional crew shifts when needed.
