A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with a serious arm injury sustained from a chainsaw. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to the incident at Simonburn, Northumberland, at 9am this morning. The man, believed to be in his 30s, was treated by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew and North East Ambulance Service paramedics before being flown for specialist treatment at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was treated by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew and North East Ambulance Service paramedics before being flown for specialist treatment at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary. The flight took 14 minutes and he arrived in a serious but stable condition.
