A STUDENT has completed a charity skydive alongside her grandmother in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
Hannah Causier, 17, and Jean Predigar, 60, from Middlesbrough, both completed a 10,000ft freefall on September 19 last year.
The pair raised a total of £800 for GNAAS which is a charity that is wholly dependent on public donations to survive.
Hannah said: “The skydive was mint. I absolutely loved it. When I jumped out of the plane I got such a rush – it made me want to do it again.”
The keen horse rider said their motivation to fundraise for GNAAS was because the charity attends a lot of horse riding incidents.
She said: “I am the happiest I can be when I am in the saddle and I don’t know if I’ll ever need their help. It is good to know that the money raised will be going to a great cause.”
Mandy Drake, head of fundraising at GNAAS said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Hannah and Jean for their charitable efforts. The funds raised will help to save lives in the region.”
