A KENDAL man has been airlifted to hospital after falling ill. The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to assist North West Ambulance Service with the man in his 70s at 9:25am on October 3. The aircrew doctor and paramedic team assessed and treated the patient before he was flown to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

The aircrew doctor and paramedic team assessed and treated the patient before he was flown to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. The flight took 12 minutes and he arrived in a serious but stable condition.
