A 15-year-old rugby player was airlifted to hospital after he suffered a neck injury during a game at Millom. The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Millom Rugby Club at around 4:10pm yesterday (Apr 19). The GNAAS doctor and paramedic team assessed and treated the male before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

The GNAAS doctor and paramedic team assessed and treated the male before he was flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. The flight took 40 minutes and he arrived in a stable condition.
