The Great North Air Ambulance Service would like to welcome two new paramedics to the charity.
Mark (left), from Brompton-on-Swale, was a paramedic with the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) for ten years and prior to that, spent more than two decades in the military. He said he wanted to join GNAAS because he felt it was “the pinnacle of being a paramedic.” In his spare time, he enjoys field sports.
Jamie (right), from Durham, was also a paramedic with NEAS and for the last four years worked within the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). In this team, paramedics triage and treat patients within particularly hazardous or potentially contaminated areas. “The work GNAAS carries out is at the forefront of pre-hospital care,” he said. In his spare time, he enjoys motocross racing and mountain biking.
