The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Glaramara in Keswick, after a woman from France fell and sustained a head injury while out walking at 15:45pm yesterday (Tues). The woman was unconscious for a short period of time and was treated on scene before being helped to the helicopter Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and flown to Newcastle’s RVI. The flight took 27 minutes, which would have taken two hours, 12 minutes by road. .
